Product Overview
The NCP1117LPST50T3G is a low dropout positive 5V fixed voltage regulator in 3 pin SOT-23 package. This LDO is has a significant reduction in dropout voltage along with enhanced output voltage accuracy and temperature stability when compared to older industry standard three-terminal adjustable regulators. It is used in TV and monitors, set top boxes and entertainment devices, switching power supply post regulation, hard drive controllers, game consoles and consumer applications.
- Operation up to 18V input
- Output current in excess of 1A, dropout voltage of 1.4V (max), 1.3V (typ) at 1A
- Line regulation of 0.2% (max) and load regulation of 50mV (max)
- Quiescent current over 10 times lower than traditional 1117 (700µA at Vin = 12V, Io = 10mA)
- No minimum load requirement for fixed voltage output
- Good noise rejection
- Ripple rejection of 60dB
- Current limit and thermal shutdown protection
