ADA400A CAL DU

The ADA400A CAL DU from Tektronix is a differential preamplifier. It allows direct oscilloscope measurements of very low amplitude voltages and signals which are not ground referenced. The high impedance of both inputs eliminates the need to add additional ground points in the DUT, thereby avoiding circulating currents which disturb the measurement or the circuit. The ADA400A is powered directly from TDS400, TDS500, TDS600, TDS700, TDS5000, TDS7000 (TEKPROBE™ ), TDS7000 (TekConnect™ ) with TCA-1MEG series oscilloscopes. The high gain and extremely high common mode rejection of ADA400A provide usable measurements of voltages as low as 5μV, even in high noise environments. Selectable bandwidth limiting reduces normal mode noise from digital logic, switch mode power supplies and line frequency sources. Typical applications include mechanical analysis, audio design, biomedical research and medical equipment (not certified for patient connection).

• Selectable gains of X100, X10, X1 and X0.1 provide wide range of sensitivity
• 100Hz, 3KHz, 100KHz, full (≥1MHz) bandwidth limits
• Input impedance is 1Mohm (55pF (infinity ohm selectable in 100x and 10x gains)
• Noise is typically ≤ 30μVRMS at 100x gain (referred to input)
• Special circuitry reduces annoying DC drift commonly found in older differential preamplifiers
• Can also be powered by a 1103 probe power supply
